Zayn Pharma is a next-generation pharmaceutical manufacturing company committed to strengthening health security across Africa and the Caribbean. We exist to solve one of the continent’s most urgent challenges: over-dependence on imported medicines in a rapidly growing, high-need healthcare market.
Today, Africa imports up to 90% of the medicines it consumes. This reliance exposes millions of people to supply shortages, price volatility, inconsistent quality, and counterfeit drugs—especially during global disruptions. At the same time, demand for chronic disease medications continues to rise sharply, placing increasing strain on already fragile systems.
Zayn Pharma was founded to change this reality by building reliable, local, and scalable pharmaceutical manufacturing capacity—designed for the needs of the regions we serve.
Our Approach
Modular by Design
Our standardized, modular manufacturing model allows us to scale rapidly across multiple countries while maintaining consistent quality and cost discipline. Plants are built using pre-fabricated cleanroom modules and standardized production lines, reducing construction time and capital intensity.
Sustainable by Default
Local manufacturing significantly shortens supply chains and reduces carbon emissions from shipping. Our facilities are designed with sustainability in mind, incorporating energy-efficient systems, renewable power options, responsible waste management, and compliance with international environmental and safety standards.
Community-Rooted
We believe pharmaceutical manufacturing should strengthen the communities it serves. Each plant creates approximately 1,100 direct and indirect jobs and supports local sourcing, workforce training, and partnerships with educational institutions, healthcare providers, and governments.
